Chiara’s passion is working with women who are craving transformation that establishes whole person well-being. Her focus and skill lies in creating nourishing routines of self-care for clients’ body, mind and spirit. Chiara designs customized nutrition and yoga programs that empower clients to tap into their inherent senses of ease, freedom, and pleasure in being in their bodies. Working with Chiara, clients gain practical, effective tools that awaken their intrinsic abilities for self-healing. That is, through the Ayurvedic nutrition and yoga programs that Chiara provides, clients learn to maintain lifestyle routines that can prevent and reverse myriad health issues, such as anxiety, depression, fatigue, menstrual difficulties, bone loss, negative body image, weight imbalances, and dietary insufficiencies.
Chiara has professionally worked in women’s health for more than twenty years. As a Professor and Researcher, she has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on eating disorder treatment and recovery, and has taught numerous university courses, specializing in media effects on women’s body image, eating and identity. As a Health Educator, she conducted support groups and nutrition sessions at a North Bay outpatient eating disorder clinic. As a founding member of the Petaluma Healthcare District Eating Disorder Task Force, she has given numerous Eating Disorder Prevention presentations to teens and adults. As a yoga teacher for fifteen years, Chiara uniquely combines her training in classical Iyengar yoga and Ayurvedic yoga traditions.
Chiara’s professional expertise is anchored in the personal transformation she underwent in healing a twenty-year eating disorder with Ayurveda. This triumph, along with her professional background, fuels her enthusiasm for and dedication to offering holistic healthcare services. She innovatively motivates and supports clients in achieving their health goals through the Ayurvedic Nutrition, Yoga and Lifestyle programs she provides.
Chiara offers one-on-one consultations in Sebastopol. She also teaches Ayurvedic Nutrition, Yoga, and Lifestyle Management seminars in the greater Bay area. Chiara additionally continues to guest lecture at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and is completing a Master of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition. |
